Cart Marking 2017
I was at the Guildhall for the annual ceremony of Cart Marking 2017 which was staged by the Worshipful Company of Carmen. At this ancient event, vehicles are presented to the Lord Mayor and ‘stamped’ for approval to conduct their trade or ply for hire within the City of London. Wonderful old vehicles in top condition. Quite a sight but caused traffic chaos in the area.
